Old Universal Google Analytics to Google Analytics 4 (GA4) Transition For Wordpress Websites
We will setup your old Universal Analytics tracker to use the GA4 tracker.
What We Will Do For You
We will create a new Google Analytics 4 profile in your existing account and install it on your Wordpress website.
This means:
- You will now see a new GA4 profile under your Google Analytics account at https://analytics.google.com
- Your website has been updated to send data to the GA4 profile
- User activity and data now shows up in your GA4 profile
- Conversion tracking (phone click, form submission, map clicks) are also tracked on GA4
- Your old UA profile will continue to work in parallel until July, 2023 when Google sunsets the service
Why Do I Need to Do this?
Earlier this year, Google announced that Universal Analytics (UA) will be phased out in favour of the new Google Analytics 4 (GA4). The Universal Analytics profile will stop processing data on July 1, 2023. This requires setup of a new GA4 account as well as new tracking codes on your website to continue tracking user data.
